Article: CDCP1: A New Therapeutic Target for Malignant Tumors

Natasha Slepak from KACTUS recently published a new article talking about CDCP1: A New Therapeutic Target for Malignant Tumors.

CDCP1 (CUB Domain-Containing Protein 1) is a transmembrane protein overexpressed in cancers such as triple-negative breast, lung, and pancreatic cancer. It plays a critical role in tumor survival, metastasis, and drug resistance.

In the tumor microenvironment, CDCP1 is cleaved into N-terminal (ATF) and C-terminal (CTF) fragments. Phosphorylated CTF activates oncogenic MAPK and PI3K/AKT signaling. Development strategies focus on:

  • Full-length CDCP1: Inhibiting expression or blocking cleavage.
  • Cleaved CDCP1: Targeting neoepitopes exposed after proteolysis.

KACTUS Solutions
To support antibody discovery, KACTUS provides high-quality CDCP1 antigens in multiple formats—including full-length, ATF&CTF complexes, and specific domains—ensuring the proper folding necessary for targeting distinct epitopes.
